Cardi B brought her signature Bronx energy to one of basketball’s biggest stages with a surprise halftime performance at Madison Square Garden. During Game 3 of the NBA Finals between the New York Knicks and the San Antonio Spurs on Monday, June 8, the Grammy-winning rapper delivered a hometown moment from center court.
The set opened with dancers in orange, Knicks-inspired jerseys, before cameras cut to Cardi seated courtside. She kicked things off with “Bodega Baddie” before moving to center court for a high-energy performance of “Bodak Yellow.”
After the performance, the Knicks fan headed back to her seat to watch the rest of the game. For the second half, she was joined by her 4-year-old son, Wave, adding a sweet family moment to the night.
Cardi has long been a familiar face in the front row for her hometown team, and Monday’s surprise set only cemented her status as the ultimate Knicks MVP.
