FLO is pressing pause—but only for a quick moment!
The British R&B sensation has officially pushed back the release date of their highly anticipated sophomore studio album, THERAPY AT THE CLUB.
Originally slated to drop on July 24th, the trio—comprising Jorja Douglas, Stella Quaresma, and Renée Downer—shared a video message with fans delivering the unexpected news. The album will now make its grand debut a couple of weeks later on August 7th.
The reason behind the slight delay? Jorja is gearing up to undergo a precautionary vocal cord surgery.
In the video, the girls made sure to reassure their fans that everything is completely fine and that the procedure is strictly a safety measure. “I will be having surgery on my vocal cord. Nothing to worry about, precautionary,” Jorja explained, while her bandmates chimed in to describe it as “preventative.”
The group further detailed that they wanted to make sure they had enough time to deliver everything they planned for this era before taking a quick pause for Jorja’s recovery.
“We have so many amazing ideas for this album and the rollout and vocal moments. We wanted performances. We wanted a bit more time to be able to execute those things before Jorja’s surgery, which is why we pushed the album back.”
Because they hate to leave their listeners empty-handed, FLO is softening the blow by dropping their next official single, “Remedied,” on the album’s original release date, July 24th!
“We understand that you guys might be sad about it, so are we, but to remedy the situation, we will have a new single dropping on July 24th,” they added. “Hang in there, guys. It’s going to be worth the wait. It really is. We love you so, so much.”
Sending all the healing vibes to Jorja for a smooth surgery and speedy recovery! We can’t wait for the new era to unfold this August.
