Ghanaian Afrobeats and Highlife artist RCee is turning up the drama with the release of the official music video for “Money Makes The World Go Round” (MMTWGR), the fourth track off his Young Daddy EP.
And this isn’t your typical music video.
Directed by Elroy Salam for Amin Studio, “MMTWGR” plays out like a full-blown cinematic thriller, putting RCee and his lover in the middle of a dangerous getaway after they steal a suitcase believed to be packed with money.
From there, things quickly spiral.
The pair are forced to go on the run as they’re relentlessly pursued, with every move becoming a fight for survival. But as the pressure mounts, greed starts to creep in — and suddenly, trust and loyalty are put to the ultimate test.
Then comes the betrayal.
In a final twist, she discovers that the suitcase she managed to escape with isn’t the one she thought it was. She got away… but with the wrong suitcase.
Talk about a plot twist.
The unexpected ending reinforces the video’s central idea: not everything is always what it seems, especially when money is involved.
With its suspenseful storyline, striking visuals, and strong performances, “Money Makes The World Go Round” pushes RCee beyond the conventional music-video format and into short-film territory.
The visual is another standout moment from his Young Daddy era, blending music, storytelling and cinematic drama into one gripping experience.
“Money Makes The World Go Round” (MMTWGR) is out now.
