The former Little Mix star shut down an attempt to pit her against her bandmate over their solo chart performance, reminding critics that her career extends far beyond daily streaming numbers.

Leigh-Anne is making it clear that her legacy cannot be measured by a streaming chart.

The singer has responded to an X user who attempted to compare her solo performance with that of former Little Mix bandmate JADE, using their streaming figures to criticize Leigh-Anne. Rather than let the comparison slide, the singer delivered a pointed response celebrating her career achievements and dismissing the idea that daily streaming metrics define her success.

“Okay, I usually don’t respond to trolls because I’m far too busy being a mom, a wife, and just generally iconic,” Leigh-Anne wrote.

She continued with a sarcastic reference to enjoying life in her mansion, reflecting on her achievements in music, including breaking records, selling millions of records worldwide, and helping define an era of British pop.

“15 years in this industry, a successful solo career, and still making history. I have LEGACY status. A daily streaming metric could never define that. 😘” she added.

The exchange comes as both former Little Mix members continue to establish their identities as solo artists following the group’s hiatus in 2022. While online fan communities frequently compare the singers’ commercial performances, Leigh-Anne’s response suggests she has little interest in allowing those comparisons to define her career.

Leigh-Anne’s Solo Journey

Leigh-Anne released her debut solo album, My Ego Told Me To, in February 2026. The independently released project reached No. 3 on the U.K. Albums Chart and topped the Official Independent Albums Chart, marking a significant milestone in her transition from girl-group star to solo artist.

She has continued expanding the project’s era with new music, including “Clickbait,” a track addressing online criticism and the constant commentary surrounding her life and career.

In discussing the song, Leigh-Anne described feeling weighed down by other people’s opinions and highlighted how social media users often judge women without knowing their personal circumstances.

The timing makes her latest response particularly notable. Instead of getting caught up in a debate over daily numbers, the singer redirected attention to her wider body of work and the impact she believes she has made throughout her career.

JADE and Leigh-Anne Are on Their Own Paths

JADE has also continued building her solo career with her debut album, THAT’S SHOWBIZ BABY!, released in 2025. Both singers are now pursuing individual creative directions after years of success together in Little Mix.

The group’s legacy includes multiple hit singles, international recognition, and a lasting place in British pop music. All three of its members — Leigh-Anne, JADE, and Perrie Edwards — have also achieved a No. 3 peak on the U.K. Albums Chart with their respective debut solo albums.

Ultimately, streaming figures can offer a snapshot of a song or album’s performance at a particular moment, but they do not tell the entire story of an artist’s career.

And Leigh-Anne appears determined to make that distinction clear. For her, the message is simple: a daily streaming comparison does not erase 15 years of achievements — and she is not about to let online trolls rewrite her legacy.
