LISA is kicking off a new chapter in her solo career!
The BLACKPINK star has officially released her first solo EP, “PRESS PLAY,” featuring seven tracks that showcase her versatility across pop, hip-hop, and dance music while highlighting the signature flow and confidence that have helped define her as an artist.
“It’s like a movie. You just have to hit the play button,” the Thai rapper explained, setting the tone for a project that feels cinematic, bold, and unmistakably LISA.
The EP opens with “SaWaDiKa,” a high-energy hip-hop track named after the Thai-language greeting. Built around a trap-pop beat, the song immediately puts LISA’s Thai identity, global ambitions, and lavish lifestyle front and center.
LISA keeps the confidence going on “V12,” a hard-hitting hip-hop track that celebrates her love of high-performance cars. She then shifts gears with “Cobra,” a dance-pop anthem made for the club, before turning up the heat on the sensual closing track, “Sweat.”
The project also embraces cinematic influences. On “Tarantino,” LISA takes on the role of an action-movie heroine, while “Cut U Off” delivers a bass-heavy breakup anthem featuring a recognizable whistle motif from Bernard Herrmann’s “Twisted Nerve,” famously associated with Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill.
The musical reference may also bring BLACKPINK fans back to the group’s 2016 hit “WHISTLE,” creating a connection between LISA’s roots as a K-pop star and her expanding ambitions as a global entertainer.
Across all seven tracks, “PRESS PLAY” presents LISA as an artist unafraid to experiment with different sounds while maintaining the bold personality and unmistakable style that fans have come to love.
With its blend of hip-hop swagger, dance-floor energy, and cinematic flair, LISA’s latest release invites listeners into her world — and, as she puts it, all they have to do is hit play.
